The formal name of the Mormon church is the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints, sometimes abbreviated to simply "LDS Church."
Mormons, as we are often called, believe in the Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ, believe the Book of Mormon to be the inspired word of God as well as
the Bible, and believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is
the only true and living church founded by Christ himself on the face of the
earth. For that reason, we believe that LDS Church officers are the only
divinely called servants authorized to perform ordinances in the name of
Christ and that this is the same church that was organized by the Savior
Himself while He walked the earth. We invite all to come to Christ and learn
of His pure truth.
